The HMF Museum Quarter is located in the historic town centre of Frankfurt and occupies several buildings including the 800-year-old Saalhof. A new exhibition house, planned by the architects Lederer Ragnarsdóttir Oei, has just opened its doors to the public in October 2017. The new building adds 4,000 square metres of exhibition space across four floors to the Quarter for exhibitions about the history and present of the city of Frankfurt. To realize the changing layouts for the temporary exhibitions, the museum is using adaptable kub2 walls and shutters which have been planned and produced particularly for the needs of the Historisches Museum.
