To celebrate the 300th anniversary of the city of Mannheim, the Kunsthalle was designed by Hermann Billing and opened at the beginning of the 20th century. Now, 100 years later, the Art Nouveau building has been completely renovated, and the museum has been extended with a new building designed by gmp architects. The Kunsthalle Mannheim now has significantly more exhibition space which can be adapted again and again for each new exhibition using flexible kub2 walls. The grand opening of the museum was celebrated at the beginning of June 2018. See also >>
